About Me
Hi, I’m Dr. Virinder Kasbia. I’m happy to have you here.

A little about me: I was born in England and immigrated to Canada at an early age. I grew up in Kanata, where I enjoyed numerous competitive sports including tennis, soccer, badminton, and provincial field hockey. My love of sport and the magnificence of the human body and how it functions inspired me to become a Doctor of Chiropractic.

It wasn't until I suffered a chronic shoulder injury and tennis elbow that I "accidentally" discovered the chiropractor's office. I took a wrong turn in the right direction! Fascinated by biomechanics and how the musculoskeletal system works, I completed my degree in Human Kinetics at the University of Ottawa and went on to attend the world-renowned National College of Chiropractic in Chicago.

In more recent years, after having been in a car accident and becoming sedentary, gaining over 60 lbs, and having to rehabilitate my spine, I gained an even greater understanding of injury and recovery. My goal is to get you out of pain and back to the life you love through chiropractic care, custom orthotics, and promoting healthy activities of daily living, exercise therapy, and proper nutrition. I celebrate when my patients tell me they are back to enjoying the activities and lifestyle they love. That’s what drives my passion.

Mobile Chiropractor Kanata,
Mobile Chiropractor Stittsville
When the pandemic hit in 2020, there was a need for in home chiropractic services. I had a custom table made and began to offer patients care in the comfort and safety of their own homes. I now offer in-office chiropractic care, but have also continued to offer house call chiropractic appointments in Kanata, Stittsville, and West Ottawa as it has proven to be very popular with my patients as a most convenient way for them to receive chiropractic care.
As a Chiropractor for over 20 years, I have helped thousands of people overcome injury and adopt a healthy and active lifestyle. I work with my patients to devise a chiropractic care plan specifically tailored to your goals and challenges. It is my objective to empower you with the knowledge you need to achieve a healthy, mobile spine, reducing pain and reaping the benefits of improved performance now and aging healthily.
How My Yoga Practice Enhances My Approach to Chiropractic Care
My love of the spine, biomechanics, and mobility recently led me to the study of yoga. I’ve fallen in love with the practice to keep fit, stay youthful, and have fun. I am now a yoga teacher at Movati Athletic in Kanata and teach anatomy as part of regular yoga teacher trainings, and have also guest lectured at the University of Ottawa.
My knowledge of yoga has enhanced my approach to chiropractic care and exercise therapy with patients, offering a wider set of stretches and exercises I may recommend to support your chiropractic care, spinal health, and overall mobility and strength. I also offer personalized assessments for your yoga practice for those looking for a better understanding of how to safely enjoy the practice.
Whether it's wanting to recover from injury, keep your body in optimal shape, healthy aging or perform better in your sport, I would love to work with you to help you achieve your specific health and performance goals through chiropractic care, yoga, and exercise therapy.

How I Embrace a Work/Life Balance
I firmly believe in finding a balance between work and making time for rest and hobbies. I have many hobbies and enjoy trying new things. Here are a few ways I spend my time when I’m not helping my patients or teaching yoga:
-
I’m a foodie and one of my favorite things to do is get creative in the kitchen and share food and laughter with friends
-
I spent 18 years in the Ottawa Valley, where I enjoyed all the charms of slower, small town life and the beautiful nature in that area for hiking and biking
-
While I was in the Ottawa Valley, I learned a lot about woodworking and made furniture which brought me great satisfaction

I love to hear about my patients’ hobbies too! I’m always looking for new ways to get active and enjoy life.

Sincerely,

Dr. Virinder Kasbia
